NATURAL STONE GALLERY


Stone is most economically shipped on full flatbed semi trucks (typically 24 tons) or in full shipping containers (typically 20-22 tons). The shipping cost is usually the same if the truck or the container isn't fully loaded, so it is more cost-effective to ship in full units. Shipments of individual pallets by common freight are generally more expensive per ton and should be avoided if possible. Stone is always transported on pallets which must be loaded and unloaded with a forklift. Pallets of stone generally weigh between 2000 and 4500 lbs. each.

Examples of lichens and moss. Lichens are flowerless plants composed of fungi and algae in symbiotic union, commonly growing in flat, greenish-grey, brown, yellow or blackish patches on rocks and trees.

Field Stone Sample

Our Arkansas Field Stone comes in 1" to 3" thickness and 3" to 6" thickness. 1" to 3" Field Stone is used for landscaping or a horizontal pattern. 3" to 6" is also used for landscaping and horizontal patterns, as well as, stand-up or flag patterns.

Our Field Stone coverage for stand-up or flag pattern is 40-60 sq.ft. per ton. The Field Stone horizontal pattern; 6" high x 35' long stacking.

Flag Stone on Loader

Flag Stone comes in Random Flag and Snapped Flag. Random Flag Stones come in 6" to 36" diameter in random shapes. Snapped Flag Stone is cut into squares and rectangles. Sizes range from 6"x6" to 36"x36" and from 3/4" to 1 1/2" thick and from 1 1/2" to 2 1/2" thick.
